Hinds Feet-High Places Ballet Story Performance: June 4 & 5, 2021
Our ballet classes in levels 1+ and teen will be performing in a ballet story performance based on the book Hinds’ Feet on High Places. The allegory-style story is about a girl named Much-Afraid, who knows the Shepherd and works in His service, but is unsatisfied with her life. She is stuck in the Valley of Humiliation, surrounded by her Fearing relatives, and frustrated with all the things that are holding her back. So, when the Shepherd offers to take her on a journey to the High Places that will change her into the person she desires, to be courageous and beautiful and to be loved in the way her heart craves, and given the ability to serve Him in the ways she has always wanted, she says yes! This journey ends up being not exactly what she thought, filled with detours, seemingly impassable trails, and unrelenting encounters with the Fearings who will stop at nothing to keep her back. But along this journey, she learns to overcome fear, and to trust in the Shepherd unconditionally, no matter what she faces or what the road ahead of her looks like. And all the things she dreaded so much in the beginning, end up being the very things that create something beautiful.
More details will be released in the coming months about the venue, seating capacities, social distancing and ticketing.
