December theme in the classroom: serve one another

Who is looking forward to Christmas? Who loves getting presents? Did you know that God has already given you gifts? This month we celebrate the greatest gift—Jesus!

When we become a Christian, we become members of God’s forever family and He gives us even more gifts. He gives us the gift of His Spirit who gives us individual gifts to help us serve one another! A fun family idea is to continue the practice of thankfulness by making a list of all the gifts God gives us, and then asking the question “How can we use these gifts to serve others?”

"As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace." 1 Peter 4:10
